WELCOME TO ACADIA ACRES
Big changes have happened at Acadia Acres during the summer of 2025! We are pleased to announce that one half of the farm was sold in June including the Holly House, Blueberry Bramble and Lupine Lodge. Also the Baxter Barn for those who remember it all. We still own the Chimney Pond side of the farm including the beautiful home, pool, huge garage, 12 stalls and 14 paddocks. This is currently on the market but is available for rent.

We operated the entire farm for 7 years and built a great group of friends during that time. It was a labor of love and both Sandy and Izzy are ready to move to new adventures. Thanks to all who stayed with us and helped build those memories. We are now located on the SE side of Ocala and offer limited boarding.

Relax in one of four beautiful homes
​At Acadia Acres, we have four homes to offer with different personalities in each! The Holly Hou​se boasts a 2/2 contemporary design along with a 1/1 sidekick which is rented as one unit. Blueberry Bramble sits next door with its remodeled 3/2 layout interior. Lup​ine Lodge is the home 'outback', looking directly over the paddocks while enjoying a 3/2 layout with ambiance and solitude. Chimney Pond Camp is next door with 3/2 layout, huge master bedroom, lovely wood floors and cozy feel. Chickadee Nest is a beautiful 2/2 apartment attached to the Baxter Barn with a patio overlooking the paddocks. Please click on each name for a full description!
Comfort for your horses
The horse facilities include a state of the art concrete shed-row barn with ten 12 x 12 stalls. There are 3 private, locked tack rooms as well as private feed/shavings rooms. Wash stalls for the horses after their workout, a utility area for cleaning your equipment and a bathroom are included for your equine comfort. At Chimney Pond Camp, there is a center aisle barn with eight 14 x 14 stalls as well as a 4 stall shed-row barn. All barns include a wash stall and tack room/feed rooms. Then let's look at the turnout! There are 17 paddocks, many with stately Live Oak trees and room to roam.
Large GGT Arena and Jump Field
Enjoy your daily workouts in our 100 x 200 riding arena. Whether yo​u are practicing dressage, flat work, jumping or just an evening jaunt, we will have the arena ready! GGT footing and ample irrigation surrounded by ancient Live Oak will make your rides feel like vacation, not work. The adjoining field contains brightly colored jumps for room to make your own course!

When you come to Ocala, you think of the horse capital of Florida and we won't disappoint you! The World Equestrian Center is literally within eyesight of our facility and HITS show grounds a quick 15 minute drive, OBS about 6 minutes, golf in every direction and Downtown Ocala with its great shops and restaurants is 15 minutes to the east and Rt 200, the land of malls and restaurants, is 15 minutes to the south. If you have water on your mind, you can visit Silver Springs in one direction and Crystal River to the west. We've got you covered!
Professional Management
Whatever your needs, Acadia Acres offers dry stalls with manure removal and ample turnout. Sandy Welsh, the manager, lives on-site and will strive to make your stay perfect while in sunny Florida.
Blueberries, holly, lupines, Baxter State Park, moose and Acadia National Park are all beautiful sights and memories from Maine. We hope to bring you Maine hospitality with warm Florida sun and the excitement of the Ocala horse scene to make your stay here the best you can imagine.
